Welcome to the Minneapolis Take Over Part 1. We recently headed up to the Twin Cities to hang out with Maddie and Matt for a couple of days on the weekend they got hitched. The first day we were there we went out in the city to shoot some “engagement” photos. I was so thrilled when we worked everything out for us to go up there and be a part of their big weekend. It was so fantastic. They welcomed us into their home for the first night, made us breakfast (which Matt makes a killer veggie scramble) and Maddie knows how to pick out some delicious donuts. With a few other family members hanging out in the house we celebrated Maddie’s Dad’s birthday, watched the Office, and relaxed. After that it was off to the Guthrie Theater in downtown Minneapolis. That place was crazy cool. It had this huge yellow room with a panoramic view of the Mississippi River where all the mills used to stand. From there we went and got donuts (yes twice in one day) at Glam Dolls Donuts, and ended the afternoon at the sculpture garden at the Walker Art Center. It was such a fantastic day. I also got to end my night eating a Jucy Lucy. It’s a delicious creation that got it starts in Minneapolis. Stay tuned for part two: The Wedding Day!
Also, things may have gotten a little “saxy” while we were listening to some smooth jazz on the way to do the photos. So this was a direct result from that car ride:
